Life at La Maison Blanche

Arrival and departure times
Please arrive any time after 4.00pm. If you would like to arrive earlier, please ring to see if it is possible. You can telephone us on 00 33 4 68 49 11 69 (office) or 00 33 6 71 27 99 21 (mobile) if you are going to be late. On your day of departure, please vacate the property by 10.00am. We will check the house just before you leave and return your damage deposit within a maximum of one month following the end of your holiday less the replacement cost of any breakages or damage, if applicable.
Bed Linen and towels
These are included in the rental price. If you are staying for two weeks a fresh supply of bed linen and towels will be delivered to you mid-stay. We provide separate towels for the beach or for the swimming pool. There is a clothes line, pegs and an iron and ironing board. Two hairdryers are provided.
Shopping
There is a small shop in Paraza and there are supermarkets at Canet (five minutes), St Marcel (15 minutes). There are hypermarkets at Narbonne, Carcassonne and Béziers. Narbonne also has probably the best indoor covered market in the south of France which is open every morning throughout the year.
For your viewing pleasure
Our flat screen television offers the main French and English satellite channels. There is a DVD player and locally you can choose from more than 400 DVDs. We also provide a selection of books for you to enjoy. There is free wi-fi access if you want to use your laptop - please ask for the password.
Housekeeping
We arrange the end of stay cleaning service and this is included in the price of your holiday. We would be grateful if you could leave La Maison Blanche clean and tidy.
Parking
There is off street gated parking for two cars beside the house.
Swimming pool
Our swimming pool will make your holiday special but please take the greatest care if you have children with you. The pool is fenced but you must be aware that babies and young children are at risk. The pool is filtered daily but if there are any problems, please contact us. Please note that it is absolutely essential that glasses must not be used in or around the pool - we supply plastic goblets. If a glass breaks in the pool, we must empty the pool which is an expensive and time-consuming operation. Unfortunately we will have to make a charge (for the extra water, electricity and time) and the pool will be out of action for several days.
Welcome pack
We want you to enjoy your stay here and we are happy to welcome you with a small supply of tea bags, fresh coffee, sugar, milk, jam, butter, fresh bread and a bottle of wine. You will also find a small supply of toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets and washing machine tablets - sufficient to last you for a few days. The tap water is absolutely fine to drink.
